On December 29, 2016, Heaven opened it's gates and Alpheus Lee Byrd went to be with his Lord. He was born June 19, 1959 in Stilwell, OK to Watie S. Byrd and Lillian Lea (Dellis) Byrd. He was a customer service representative for Cherokee Nation Management Resources and a lifetime member of Bellefonte Baptist Church.

Survivors are:

4 sisters: Sallie Byrd Sevenstar and Lee of Nicut, OK, Ginny Byrd Pitman and Pete of Clinton, AR, Debra Byrd of Nicut, OK and Tammy Byrd of Nicut, OK

3 brothers: Tommy Byrd of Muldrow, Ok, George Byrd and Wanda of Flute Springs, OK and Joe Byrd of Tahlequah, OK

His best friend, his buddy: Watie Byrd

Nieces and nephews: Sheila, LaNell, Andrea, Jason, Joseph, Candice, Julia, Ja-Li-Si, Celia, Amaris and Cam

He was preceded in death by his parents

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 1 pm at First Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma. burial will be at Bellefonte Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.

Viewing will be Saturday 4 - 8 pm and Monday 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow. The family will greet Monday from 6 - 8 pm.

Active Pallbearers are Joe Locust, Wade Tackett, Norman "Hominy" Littledave, David Walkingstick, Tommy Ray Jargo Jones and Dennis Armer

Honorary Pallbearers are Muldrow Class of 1977 and Renegades Ball Club, Jimmy Roberts and Kenneth Harvell
