Elton Ray Butcher, 74, of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed away July 12, 2016 at his home in Redland. He was born January 7, 1942 in Redland community, Oklahoma the son of Walter Virgil Butcher, Jr. and Audrey (Green) Butcher. He married Donna Gail Walters on January 7, 1963 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was a member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church.
Elton became well known around the community as the owner/operator and head talker at Elton's Barber Shop in Muldrow, Oklahoma. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the gentlemen that patronized and enjoyed telling tales and spinning yarns with Elton at the shop.

great granddaughter: Ryan Julianne Folkerts
2 sisters and brothers in law: Gwen and Charlie Comstock of Muldrow, OK and Sandra and Doyle Brooks of Muldrow, OK
brother in law: David Fry
sister in law: Peggy Butcher
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Audrey Butcher; 1 brother, Donnie Butcher; 1 sister, Shirley Fry; and nephew, Jerry Fry
Funeral service is Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 am at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
The family will greet friends Friday from 6 - 8 pm at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church.
Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Maxwell, Ronnie Vest, Tommy Treat, Edwin Ogdon, Roger Reichert, Rick Andrews, Garland Russell, Ray Watts, Carlos Short, Ted Stamps, Brant Followell, Jerry Jordan, Jim Ritchie, Rick Pendergrass, Paul Matlock, Ronnie Owens, Anthony Williams and all the men of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Eastside Freewill Baptist Church Vision Fund.
