Wadie Richard Bruton was born July 17, 1921 in Drakes Prairie, Oklahoma. The son of
Walter C. Bruton and Grace Adams Bruton. He married Christine E. Bruton on
February 24, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2004 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Bruton worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in the Maintenance where he retired in 1984. He was also a retired barber from Vian, Sallisaw, and Ft. Chaffee. He was a Veteran of WWII. Mr. Bruton passed this life on August 1, 2007 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
86 years, and 14 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
3 sisters: Ila Barnes of Sallisaw, Ok., Margaret Deese of Sallisaw, Ok.,
and Jessie Mae Calloway of Sallisaw, Ok.;
1 brother: Joe Bruton of Sallisaw, Ok.;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Christine, his parents: Walter and Grace Bruton;
1 son: Jere Wade Bruton; 1 brother: Jess Calvin Bruton and 1 sister: Lucille Dority.
