Obituary



Lucille Parris Brooks was born September 13, 1915 in Mineral Springs community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Mose Oliver Parris and Prudie (Howell) Parris.  She was married to William Riley Brooks.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 1962 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  Mrs. Brooks was co-owner and operator of Brooks Grocery Store for over 50 years and a member of the Church of Christ in Roland, Ok.  She passed this life on September 13, 2010 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 95 years.

Survivors are:

1 son and daughter in law:
Billy Ed and Vida Brooks of Roland, Ok.

5 grandsons: Jackie and Jerry Brooks,
Ed Lewis, Gary Lewis, and Steve Lewis

10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren

2 brothers:  Bill Parris of Ft. Smith, Ar.
and R.H. Parris of San Antonio, Tx.

several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband,
1 daughter: Virginia Lewis, her parents,
and 2 sisters:  Claudine Box and Inez Patterson
