Marilyn Ruth Braxton, 70, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was born December 19, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of Francis Marion Cole and Savannah Ruth (Simmons) Cole. She was married to Kenneth Edward Braxton on November 27, 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Braxton was a program manager for Tinker Air Force Base and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw.

Husband: Kenneth of the home
2 Daughters: Lisa Boyce and Raymond of Elgin, SC and Gowynne Landolt and Glen of Sallisaw, OK
Son: Kenneth Edward Braxton, Jr. and Monica of Fairfield, CA
4 grandchildren: Brittany, Sydney, Justin, and Grace
1 brother: George Alvin Cole of San Antonio, TX

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Savannah Cole
Funeral service is Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Friday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw
