Orlene Catherine "Cat" Dobbs Beck was born May 25, 1922 in McKey community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry Harold Dobbs and Bessie Jane Bynum Dobbs. She was married to Fred Albert Beck on June 7, 1947 in Goodland, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1995. Mrs. Beck was a homemaker, a Teachers Aide and Librarian at Vian High School and an Avon representative for a number of years. She was of the baptist faith and a longtime Sunday School Teacher. Cat liked to do for others, often transporting neighbor children to church, caregiving for her parents, siblings and others. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Mrs. Beck passed this life on August 10, 2012 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 90 years, 2 months and 15 days.

Julie Haywood and Justin of Sallisaw, OK, Kristina Beck of Moore, OK and Kelsey Beck of Sallisaw, OK
2 great grandchildren: Mallorie Beck and Avery Haywood
1 sister in law: Avis Dobbs of McKey community, OK
2 brothers in law: Raymond Nihiser of Denver, CO
and Buck Beck of Colorado Springs, CO
many nieces, nephews, in-laws who loved her dearly
and admired her hardwork, courage and strength.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers: Otis, Olen “Lee”, Oliver Winifred and Orville Harold and 3 sisters: Oma Pauline Smith, Oletha Mae Nihiser and Ola Jean Norvell
