Denver K. Applegate, 87, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, formerly of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born June 28, 1929 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, the son of Elbert and Bertha Mae (Hill) Applegate. He was married to Deloris A. Hale on June 29, 1965. Mr. Applegate was a carpenter, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a part-time pastor in Gans, Oklahoma for many years, and a member of First Baptist Church in Muldrow. He was known for being the caretaker of his family.

2 grandchildren: Kathryn Dustin of Ft. Smith, AR and Christian J. Dustin of Fresno, CA
1 sister: Bonnie of Amarillo, TX
nephews: J.E. Applegate of Henryetta, OK and Aaron J. Applegate of Checotah, OK
several other nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends
Burial will be held at Lee's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw at a later date.
