Obituary

Betty Jean Wylie was born July 18, 1930 in Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of Joy Paul Ashton and Myrtle Luella (Watt) Ashton.  She was married to Joe Wylie on May 28, 1950 in Alva, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on November 8, 2003 in Sallisaw, Ok.  Mrs. Wylie attended Northwestern State University and received her RN degree from Sparks Nursing School.  She was the Director of Home Health at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1999.  She was a member of Gore United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Wylie passed this life on February 18, 2009 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 78 years and 7 months.

Survivors are:

1 daughter and son in law: Debbie and Rex LaCore of Gore, Ok.

1 son and daughter in law: Sam and Faye Wylie of Greenville, Tx.

8 grandchildren: Holly, David and Jessica Boles, Laura Huggins, Sarah and Cody Goss, Elizabeth and Christopher Wylie

7 great grandchildren: Devan LaCore, Gabrille Huggins, Ethan Boles, Kathryn Goss, Zoe Huggins, Shelby Goss and Jackson Boles

several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister and 7 brothers
