Dewie Maxine Woody Humphrey was born October 20, 1920 in Short, Oklahoma, the daughter of Louis Vann Stites and Jennie Roastingear Stites. She married Raymond Woody in 1937 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1958 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She passed this life on February 14, 2009 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 88 years,
