Martha Sue Woodward was born at Gans, Oklahoma on August 8, 1933 to George and Lillie Crosslin. She was the 9th of 11 children. She enjoyed many happy days and good times growing up attending school and going to church. She anticipated graduating, but in her 12th year of school on an outing with some friends, she happened to meet the love of her life and traded graduation for a lifetime of happiness. On October 13, 1950 she married Marion Jack Woodward and to this union was soon added 6 beautiful children, 3 boys and 3 girls. Martha Sue as a young mother was soon introduced to an old time church meeting where she gave her heart to God, resulting in a faithful 59 years of service to her Lord. "Mother" as she was known to her children and many others spent most of her happy years at the Holiness Church in Marble City, Oklahoma, where she was a faithful member until her death. Mother was a faithful, loving wife and homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing and taking care of her family. She liked nothing better than cooking up a delicious meal for her children and she always wanted to make sure you were full. But of all these things, the most special was those times of dedicated prayer everyday that so many of those that knew her remember and recall well. She was a prayer warrior and even up until her final hours she was doing what she knew best, praying and getting a hold of God. She passed this life on April 13, 2017 in Marble City, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

1 sister and brother in law: Ruth and Deodoto Beezzi of Monroe Falls, OK
2 brothers and 1 sister in law: Frankie and Bella Jo Crosslin of Barling, AR and Jimmy Crosslin of Gans, OK
sister in law: Amy Crosslin of Gans, OK
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Larue Looper and Mary Deese and 3 brothers: Joe, Paul and Cheek Crosslin
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma with Bro. Stanley Cottrell and Bro. Jeff Welcher officiating.
Burial will follow at Marble City Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma.
