Donna Grace (Lierly) Woffard was born June 19, 1948 in Sapulpa, OK, the daughter of Ralph Hosey Lierly and Lucille (Brown) Lierly. She married Carrell "Bud" Woffard on June 26, 1967 in Claremore, OK. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2008 in Ft. Smith, AR.
Donna was a graduate of McClain High School in Tulsa. After graduation she attended Cosmetology Beauty College also in Tulsa. She was a well respected and accomplished seamstress. She co-owned and operated several sewing machine stores from Muskogee to Ft. Smith.
Her legacy lives on at the Sewing Machine Center in Ft. Smith, where her children currently operate it today. Donna loved to teach the art of sewing to anyone willing to learn, which made her a popular and exceptional teacher at the Sewing Machine Center. The results of this class time and her dedication outside the classroom can be seen today throughout the store.
Her knowledge and experience earned her an honor few educators will ever accomplish. She was asked to teach at Janome International Sewing Institute a training seminar for business owners. The lesson plan she taught was later published at Janome Institute.
Donna's hobbies included sewing, quilting, and traveling. She especially loved vacationing with her children and grandchildren. Donna passed this life on September 25, 2011 in Ft. Smith, AR after having attained the age of 63 years, 3 months and 6 days.
