Joe Marion "Jody" Welch was born July 7, 1930 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the son of Joe and Ethel Welch. He was married to Lorelei Chowning on October 31, 1959 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2011 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Welch was retired from Hastings Motor Company and J&L Enterprise, a company he and his wife owned, he was U.S. Air Force Veteran. Mr. Welch passed this life on June 26, 2016 in Olathe, Kansas at the age of 85.

Trey, Johnny, Hillary, Joe, Anna, Ellen Kate
8 great grandchildren: Kylee, Mitch, Morgan, Jordan,
Kaytlen, McKenan, Emery and Maddox
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorelei; his parents, Joe and Ethel Welch; his brother, Charles Welch; and his sisters, Barbara Lee Welch, Helen Martin and Dorothy Breedlove.
Graveside service is Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10 am at Sallisaw City Cemetery.
