Perdita Arvilla Walters was born February 5, 1917 in Drakes Prairie, Oklahoma. The daughter of George Millikin and Fannie Nichols Millikin. She married Roy Lee Walters on October 15, 1938 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1974 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mrs. Walters enjoyed her church she attended at the House of Prayer in Sallisaw over
40 years where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Walters was also known for her ability to walk as a form of exercise and staying healthy.
Mrs. Walters passed this life on September 8, 2007 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
90 years, 7 months and 3 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
2 sons: Donald Lee Walters of Sallisaw, Ok., and
Jerry Glen Walters of Tulsa, Ok.;
2 daughters: Judy Sumpter of Ft. Smith, Ark., and
Linda Pruitt of Sallisaw, Ok.;
1 step son: Maxie Walters of Muldrow, Ok.;
17 grandchildren;
35 great grandchildren;
8 great great grandchildren;
several other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Lee Walters;
a daughter: Loretta Bradshaw in 1974; a son: Leroy in 2004; and
2 grandsons: Greg Walters and Ricky Pruitt; | |
