Maxie Eugene Walters, 80, of Muldrow, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Roland, Oklahoma. He was born October 25, 1936 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the son of Roy Lee and Lottie (Coulter) Walters. He was married to Dixie Lee Burns on August 1, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas. Mr. Walters was a lineman for OG&E, an U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Cavanaugh Freewill Baptist Church in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

5 grandchildren: Adam Walters, Coty Walters and wife, Chelsea, Whitney Walters, Blaed Walters and Madison Walters
2 great grandchildren: Remington and Hunt Walters
2 sisters: Judy Sumpter and huband, Larry of Sallisaw, OK and Linda Pruitt and husband, Terry of Sallisaw, OK
2 brothers: Don Walters of Sallisaw, OK and Jerry Walters and wife, Sandra of Tulsa, OK
numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Loretta Bradshaw; and 1 brother, Leroy Walters
Funeral service is Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10 am at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
Viewing is Wednesday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow. The family will greet from 6 - 8 pm.
