Nolan W. Tackett, 95, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, died at his home on Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born on May 24, 1921 in Jerusalem, Arkansas, the son of Noah Mapel Tackett and Mittie Lee (Jones) Tackett. He married Mary Frances Vann on April 4, 1945 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Korea, a retail store manager and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are:
Wife: Mary of the home
2 sons: Robert Tackett and wife, Kathy of Eufaula, OK and David Tackett and wife, Trish of Owasso, OK
1 daughter: Sandra Leigh Fox and husband, Jerre of Kansas City, MO
6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Ila Mae Hedricks; and 3 brothers, Lloyd, Herman and Gerald Tackett.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 2 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, OKlahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
