Mr. William Grant Sprouse was born November 28, 1922 in McCurtain, Oklahoma, the son of Benjamin Hooper Sprouse and Blanche Bessie Self Sprouse. He was married to Marjorie Louise "Margie" Gregory Sprouse on December 12, 1942 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mr. Sprouse was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired Time-DC truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. He passed this life on May 19, 2007 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 84 years, 5 months and 21 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing: 2 daughters: Saundra Carter of Belmont, Ms., and Brenda Cotten of Sallisaw, Ok.; 6 grandchildren: Grant Rhodes of Sallisaw, Ok., Sidney Miles of Tulsa, Ok., Todd Hays of Ft. Smith, Ar., Rich Carter of Belmont, Ms., Jay Cotten of Sallisaw, Ok., and Mika Hartman of Shreveport, La.; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Margie; his son: Gary Grant Sprouse; his parents: Benjamin and Blanche Sprouse; 2 brothers: Horace and Ben Sprouse and 2 sisters: Marjorie Wilson and Dorothy Atkinson | |

Memorial donations can be made to the William G. “Bill” Sprouse Trust Fund established at National Bank of Sallisaw to defray costs incurred for a medical flight from Washington, D.C. where he suffered a massive heart attack while visiting the WWII Veterans Memorial with a group of Sequoyah County Veterans.
