Randall Keith Spence, 64, of Vian, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home. He was born February 6, 1952 in Eunice, New Mexico to Marshall and Elsie (Fletcher) Spence. Randy lost his mother because of complications from a house fire at the age of 9 months. He was very blessed to have two wonderful mothers and Ola McKinney and Georgia Spence.
A man that said he would never get married, changed his mind at the age of 25 and just 2 short weeks, when he met his sister Deana's roommate, Penny Hinton. They were joined in marriage at the Church of Christ in Broken Bow, Oklahoma on January 8, 1978. Randy and Penny Spence were blessed with two children, Shelly Morrow and Randall Spence, II.
Randy worked for Sutherland's Lumber, Union, and National Home Center. When he wasn't selling lumber, he was installing insulation or working on a blueprint. After a forced retirement, he enjoyed being able to spend more time watching and analyzing football so that he would know how his beloved OU Sooners would do in that season and continue to work on blueprints. He loved spending time with his grandson, Uriah Spence.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Spence, Elsie Spence, Ola McKinney and Georgia Spence; 1 sister, Darlene Warford; and great nephew, Jack Warford.
He is survived by:
Wife: Penny of the home
Daughter and son in law: Shelly and Shane Morrow of Vian, OK
Son and daughter in law: Randall Keith Spence, II and Starla of Vian, OK
1 grandson: Uriah Spence
Siblings: Eddie Spence and wife Sharon, Jack Warford, Ben Allgood and wife Julie, Lloyd Allgood, Kathy Treat and Deana Spence
