Charles Sloan, 81 of Vian, Oklahoma passed away August 9, 2016 at his home. He was born July 6, 1935 in Webber Falls, Oklahoma, the son of Ruby Beatrice (McGrew) Sloan and Charley Allen "Chock" Sloan. He was married to Mary Katherine Marrs on June 14, 1957 in Vian, Oklahoma. Mr. Sloan was a farmer, a member of Vian United Methodist Church and Webber Falls Masonic Lodge.

2 sons and daughters in law: Chuck and Linda Sloan of Ft. Smith, AR and Jody and Sue Sloan of Sallisaw, OK.
6 grandchildren: Mary Sloan, Seth Sloan and his, fiance Rachael Ruben, Sydney Sloan, Sylas Sloan, Shane Whitekiller and Trent Whitekiller
1 great grandchild: Jayden Sloan
2 sisters: Lucille Ford of Vian, OK and Dorothy Smith of Prairie Grove, AR
sister in law: Ruth Pruitt and her husband, Donald Pruitt
1 niece: Ann Reed and her husband, Christian
1 nephew: Cory Pruitt
2 great nephews: Colson and Garrett Rand
Mother of Seth, Sydney and Sylas Sloan: Paula Sloan
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: Jewel Sloan, 2 brothers: George and Donnie Sloan,
and grandparents: Florence David Sloan and George Sloan and Walcie Ford McGrew and Bluford McGrew
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Vian United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma.
Active pallbearers will be Seth Sloan, Sylas Sloan, Colson Rand, Garrett Rand, Garrett Ford, Shane Whitekiller and Anthony Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Bane, Fowler Ray Sheffield, Wayne "Dub" Sloan, Bill Cotner, Donald Pruitt,
Don Brockman, Ed Brockman, Jerry Simon, Theron Croisant and Robin Landrum.
Viewing will be 10 am - 8 pm Thursday and 10 am - 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK
where the family will greet friends from 6 - 8 pm Friday.
