Cleo (Butler) Russell, 102, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 in Roland, Oklahoma. She was born February 12, 1913 in Muldrow, Oklahoma, the daughter of Willie and Elvira Tennessee Touchmenot (Dawes) Butler. She married Charley James Russell on October 17, 1931 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2000 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors are:
3 daughters: Cassie Brooks of Redland, OK,
Fern Shamblin of Roland, OK and
Wilma and A.E. Linker of Redland, OK
1 son: Jim and Rita Russell of Redland, OK
daughter in law: Geri Russell of Redland, OK
sister in law: Hilda Butler of Muldrow, OK
16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren,
and 20 great great grandchildren
numerous other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charley Russell,
1 son: Charles Russell, her parents, 2 sisters: Jewel Vernon and
Imogene Ely and 2 brothers: Harvey Collins Butler and Clarence Butler
Funeral service will be Monday, January 4, 2016 at 2 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma with Rev. Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will be at Blackjack Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
Viewing will be Sunday 2 - 8 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow. The family will greet friends from 4 - 5 pm.
