Obituary

Wadie Lee Riggs was born January 24, 1930 in Maple community, Oklahoma, the son of James Walter Riggs and Bertie Ellen Wallace Riggs.  He married Patsy Jane Woodward Riggs on December 24, 1949 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  Mr. Riggs was a self employed furniture manufacturer and cattle rancher.  He was a Member of Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church and a deacon for 27 years.  He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Bruton Masonic Lodge #30 and a member of the Sequoyah County Water Association for 30 years.  Mr. Riggs passed this life on July 1, 2011 in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

 

Survivors are:

 

Wife: Patsy of the home

 

1 daughter and son in law: 
Sandy and Mike Henson of Maple community, Ok.

 

1 son and daughter in law: 
David and Vicki Riggs of Maple community, Ok.

 

1 daughter in law: Diane Riggs of Maple community, Ok.

 

5 grandchildren:  Jerry, Billy, Jonathon, Donald and Whitney

 

8 great grandchildren:  Jamie, Julia, Trevor, Travis, Rayne, Wisper, Zach and Haley

 

1 sister and brother in law: 
Gail and Arvel Ross of Maple community, Ok.

 

Several other relatives and friends

 

He was preceded in death by 1 son:  James Harvey Riggs, 1 granddaughter: Leah Riggs, his parents,
1 brother: Edmond Riggs and 2 infant brothers
