Alice Leona (Dodson) Rhodes, 90, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born August 21, 1926 in Harrison, Arkansas, the daughter of Dan Fullbright Dodson, Sr. and Annie Gladys (Hoppis) Scribner. She was married to Arthur Alvin Rhodes on January 31, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1981. Mrs. Rhodes was a beautician at L and R Beauty Shop and a Protestant.

4 grandchildren: Misty and John Speir of Sallisaw, OK, Dulaney and Becky Meadows of Sallisaw, OK, Annie Barlow of Tahlequah, OK, and Kelli and Spencer Smith of Sallisaw, OK
8 Great grandchildren: Britton and Emily Speir, Alivia and Caden Meadows, Lexxi and David Barlow and Allye and Drake Collins
Daughter in law: Donna Rhodes of Sallisaw, OK
Sister in law: Edna Dodson of Sallisaw, OK
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Alvin Rhodes; 1 son, Scott Rhodes; her parents, Dan Fullbright Dodson, Sr. and Annie Gladys (Hoppis) Scribner; and 1 brother, Dan Dodson.
Funeral service was Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1 pm at Apostolic Faith Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Burial will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas.
Viewing will be Wednesday 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet from 6 - 8 pm.
