Nathalee Rachels, 94 of Roland, Oklahoma passed away September 1, 2017 in Roland, Oklahoma. She was born September 28, 1922 in Blackjack community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Viola Angeline (Sharp) Burchfield and Enoch Wilson Burchfield. Mrs. Rachels was a welder and burner in the shipyards in California during WWII. She was one of the original " Rosie the Riveters". She reitred from Wortz Cracker Company at the age of 60.
She loved her family very much and adored her grandchildren.
Survivors are:
1 daughter and son in law: Phyllis and Bob Prewett of Muldrow, OK
1 son: Danny Miller of Van Buren, AR
3 grandchildren: Gary Prewett, Monica Gore and Rocky Dale Raney
6 great grandchildren: Kari, Bobby, Dylan, Gabrielle, Kathy and Stephanie
5 great great grandchildren
1 brother: Bill "BG" Burchfield of Catoosa, OK
numerous other relatives and a host of friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Viola and Enoch Burchfield and 2 daughters: Ladonna Gail Miller and Patricia Littleton
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2017 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Active pallbearers will be Johnny Dale Prewett, Gary Prewett, Rocky Dale Raney, Bobby Dale Prewett, Dylan Prewett and Gene Gore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Lewis and Roger Sharp.
Viewing will be 11 am - 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 - 8 pm.
