Nadine Cheek Mitchell, 91, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born July 9, 1925 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma the daughter of Beautine Douglas "B.D." Cheek and Iantha Estelle "Stella" (Peters) Cheek. Nadine was a former beautician in Sallisaw and also served as Deputy and was the Sequoyah County Clerk from 1970-1989. She loved her family, friends, co-workers and church family. Nadine was of the Baptist faith. She was loved by many, respected by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.D. Cheek and Stella (Peters) Cheek; step mother, Gatha (Mauldin) Cheek; brothers, Garland and Bernie Cheek; and sister, Kathleen Mitchell
Graveside service is Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10 am at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing is Tuesday 4 - 8 pm and Wednesday 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
