Obituary

In 1992, Laura and Chip Miller anxiously awaited their second bundle of joy, along with grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, great aunts, uncles and great uncles, along with many cousins.  Most importantly, Sarah Kathryn Miller was to become a big sister.  The special delivery came on December 3rd named Whitney Erin Miller.  She grew up with many cousins, but Sidney, Addison, Jordan and Spencer LeBeau, as well as Sam and Andrew Miller, shared a special bond as 1st cousins. Whitney grew up attending school in Sallisaw and transferred to Vian Public Schools in the 5th grade and found a bond with fellow classmates.  At Vian, Whitney excelled in academics and showcased her skills on the softball field, basketball court, track and the cheerleading squad.  If school and athletics were not enough, Whitney held down a part-time job at Camille’s Kidz in Vian, alongside her mother.  She worked in Mrs. Kris Smith’s 3 year old class. Whitney loved her friends and enjoyed making new friends.  In fact, Whitney lists her hobbies as hanging out with friends, listening, dancing and singing to all kinds of music.  Though Whitney was beautiful on the outside, the true beauty and honesty on the inside made her an unforgettable presence and many people described her as having the ability to light up a room or to make you laugh.  Whitney was taken by the hand and called to heaven on February 17, 2012.  Her place was ready, along the side of many family and friends before her.  For the ones she left behind, family, the love of her life and companion, friends, teammates, the children she cared for, it was way too soon.  For 19 years, we were blessed to know this dynamic, beautiful, young lady, and just as before, Whitney will forever be present with us because she left a mark on our heart.

She is survived by:
