Dorothy Juanita McFarland was born October 31, 1928 in Nelsonville, Ohio. The daughter of Charles Edward Cheek and Nellie Mae Haynie Cheek. She married Perry Niles McFarland on August 20, 1949 in Greenwood, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1983 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, genealogy, and crafts. She was always enthusiastic to share her many talents with others. She passed this life on February 14, 2007 in Cookson, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 78 years, 3 months and 14 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing:

1 son-in-law: Ron VanNatta of Gore, Ok.;
2 grandchildren: Chris McFarland and his wife Jessica of Houston, Tx., and
Stephen McFarland of Cookson, Ok.;
2 sisters: Lola Law of Waldron, Ar., and Retha Hubler of Haskell, Ok.;
She was preceded in death by her husband: Perry; 1 daughter: Gwendolyn Ann VanNatta,
2 Sisters: Elzie Peligo and Shelba Crenshaw; and 1 brother: Charles Cheek. |
