Floyd Archie Lewis was born January 23, 1919 in Booneville, Arkansas. The son of James Elwood Lewis and Elizabeth Mae Nichols Lewis. He married Dorothy Florence Woodward Lewis on October 21, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2004 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He served in the Army during WWII. Floyd passed this life on January 5, 2007 after having attained the age of
87 years, 11 months and 13 days.
Survivors are:
1 son & daughter-in-law: Perry and Emma Sue Lewis of Sallisaw, Ok.;
1 grandson: Perry Allen Lewis of Sand Springs, Ok.;
1 granddaughter: Susan Gayle Rambo and husband Chris of Lavaca, Ar.;
2 great grandchildren: Zachary Allen Rambo of Lavaca, Ar., and
Bailey Michelle Lewis of Sand Springs, Ok.;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy; 1 brother: Lester Lewis;
3 Sisters: Helen Treadway, Gladys Fain, and Fannie Slaughter;
and 3 Special cousins: Lowell, Miles, and Nolan Perry.
