R.L. Layman was born on March 12, 1935 in Muleshoe, Texas, the son of Ernest Layman and Dorothy (Rice) Daniels. He was married to Betty Jo Harding-Layman on September 3, 2016 in Clarendon, Texas. Mr. Layman was manager of a cement plant. He passed this life on May 26, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas at the age of 82.

2 daughters: Holly Drinnon and husband, Terry of Clinton, OK and Lisa Martin and husband, Todd of Lubbock, TX
1 son: Trent Layman and wife, Aly of Keller, TX
5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, OK
