Ruth Yates Larkins was born April 20, 1924 in Williamson County, Tennessee and, at the age of 92, passed from this life on September 2, 2016. She was a resident of Muldrow, Oklahoma since 1992. Nanny, as she was called by all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their friends, loved spending time with her family, working crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy!, embroidering, and reading books. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Glen E. Larkins. After his death she spend the second half of her life devoted to helping her daughter and son-in-law raise their children. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Frank Aden Yates and Ludie Givens Yates, one brother John Yates, five sisters Rosie Keith, Goldie Rogers, Dixie Garmon, Elizabeth Ryan, and June Smith. She is survived by one child Gloria D. Davis, her husband Paul R. Davis, three grandchildren J. Erik Davis, his wife Sarah Davis, Holly E. Davis, Kevin Davis, his wife Sasha. Ruth is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Connor Davis, Madylin Davis, Cole Ogilvie, and Emma Ruth Ogilvie. Ruth will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016
at Maple Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Davis, Erik Davis, Connor Davis, Kevin Davis, Cole Ogilvie and Keith Ballard
