Obituary

W.G. “Butch” Lamb was born December 11, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the son of Willis Garland “Goat” Lamb, Sr. and Wanda Lou Phillips Lamb.  He married Linda Kay Taylor Lamb on October 28, 1978 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  He was a 1965 graduate of Sallisaw High School,  a U.S. Air Force Veteran of Vietnam and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  He was a United States Postal Employee for 37 years and a member of the Sallisaw Fire Department for over 20 years.  Butch was proud to represent the City of Sallisaw as a 3rd term City Commissioner. He especially loved spending time with his family and helping people.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his lake home.  Mr. Lamb passed this life on November 12, 2011 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 63 years, 11 months and 1 day.

Survivors are:

Wife: Linda of the home

1 son and daughter in law: Carl Wayne and Jeanette Lamb of Sallisaw, Ok.

2 daughters and sons in law: Janie and Richard Johnson of Sallisaw, Ok.  and Keri and Carl Wilks of Tulsa, Ok.

12 grandchildren: Shawna, Alan, Jess, Kristina, Haley, Lindsey, Kelsey, Jake, Stephen, Angelo, Jaxon and Richard

Several great grandchildren

1 sister: Carla Hundley of Tulsa, Ok.

Lifelong best friend: Hubert Horn

A niece and nephew that he cared for as his own: Michial Taylor and Cathy Boyd

Uncle: Carl Phillips, Jr. and wife Linda of Bixby, Ok.

Brother in law: Phillip Taylor and wife Donna of Sallisaw, Ok.

Sister in law: Darlene Taylor of Sallisaw, Ok.

Special cousin integral in his raising: Alma Barnes
