Patricia Paulette Hunter passed away on December 10, 2016 at her home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born April 9, 1941 in Salem, Illinois to Sammie M. Clampitt and Pauline (Nichols) Clampitt Guttenfelder. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw. She retired the United States Postal Service on April 10, 2001, after 30 years of service. She loved to quilt, golf, camp, hunt, cook, loved to play the piano and baking of all kinds. She loved spending time with her family, friends and was loved by all who met her.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
5 children: Charles Hunter, Jr and wife Lisa of Grand Rapid, MN, Sammy Hunter and wife Tana of Newcastle, WY, Timothy Hunter of Princeton, KS, Randy Hunter and wife Deanna of Karlsruhe, ND and Kim Thomas and husband Christopher of Sallisaw, OK
14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren
2 sisters: Virginia Stewart and husband Sam of Hodgenville and Mary carter and husband Jerry of Owensboro, KY
numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Jim Dean
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Hunter Sr., her parents and her grandson, Tyler
A memorial service was held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 4 pm at First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Mission Fund.
