Mrs. Lillian Mae Butler Houston was born February 21, 1924 in Van Buren, Arkansas, the daughter of William Benjamin Butler and Lillie Maples Butler. She was married to Mr. Voyd Jackson "Doc" Houston on April 13, 1940 in Vian, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1987 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mrs. Houston was a homemaker and a member of Blackgum Harvestime Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and pianist. She passed this life on March 30, 2008 in Vian, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 84 years, 1 month and 9 days. She leaves to mourn her passing:
1 daugher and son in law: Shirley and Gene Lemmon of Blackgum community, Ok.
1 son and daughter in law: Dwain and Sammie Houston of Springdale, Ar.
4 grandchildren: Shannon Elbon, Tiffany Haning, Stacy Pepin and David Houston
7 great grandchildren: Adrianna, Addison, Kaycee, Kylee, Dylan, Colton and Courtney
1 sister: Pearl Williams of Ben Wheeler, Texas
