Avis Lee Henry, 91 of Gore, Oklahoma passed away August 10, 2016 in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born July 6, 1925 in Meeker, OK, the daughter of Zella Maude Stewart Allenbaugh and Fred Allenbaugh. She was married to Roy Ervin Henry on June 9, 1948 in Muskogee, OK. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2005. Mrs. Henry was a bank teller at Webber Falls State Bank and a charter member of First Baptist Church of Gore, OK. She was a living example of how to love like Jesus, a prayer warrior and made a mean peach cobbler. You will be missed dearly but we are so happy for you this morning, knowing that you are healed and will forever be with your Jesus.

1 daughter: Sharon Duke of Gore, OK.
2 sons and daughters in law: Rick and Suzie Henry of Gore, OK and Kurt and Robin Henry of Gore, OK
6 grandchildren and spouses: Kim Hoog and Ryan, Nicole Howard and Jason, Brandi Reid and Justin, Kasey Duke and Mary, Chad Henry, Aubrey Montgomery and Bradford.
13 great grandchildren: Alex and Avery Hoog, Peyton and Brady Thomas, Jackson, Cruze and Kennedy Duke, Quinn Montgomery, Eli Henry Montgomery, Rollins Howard, Ariel Essley, Keigan and Rigby Reid
2 sisters in law: Irene Allenbaugh of Gore, OK and Norma Jean Peters of Muskogee, OK
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 1 brother: Carl Allenbaugh
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Gore, OK.
Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Gore, OK under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Reid, Jason Howard, Kasey Duke,
Chad Henry, Bradford Montgomery and Ryan Hoog.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Bennett, Winford Brown and Tom Cox.
Viewing will be 10 am – 8 pm Saturday and 2 – 8 pm Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Gore, OK where the family will greet friends 4 – 8 pm Sunday.
