Mr. Marion G. Hastings

Mr. Marion Garman Hastings was born July 6, 1921 in Gans, Oklahoma. The son of
Charles Clark Hastings and Anna M. Garman Hastings. He married
Nyla Fern Oliver Hastings on September 26, 1942 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Marion was the
Former Owner-Operator of Hastings Motor Company in Sallisaw. He was in the Automotive Business for over 50 years. Marion was also a Funeral Directors Assistant at
Agent Funeral Home, a member of the Sequoyah Memorial Hospital Board of Directors,
a member of the American Legion Post #27, and a Lifelong member of the
Sallisaw Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for a number of years. Marion passed this life on December 6, 2007 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of
86 years and 5 months.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
Wife of 65 years: Fern of the home;
2 daughters: Nyla Edwards of Sallisaw, Ok., and Sue Hastings of Van Buren, Ar.;
1 son: Charles Hastings and wife Jo Ellen of Gravette, Ar.;
5 grandchildren: Joey Edwards, Stephanie Caughman, Heather Hastings,
Leslie Pingleton, and Charles Anthony Hastings;
several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. | |
