Mrs. Charlene Fulbright Gunter July 5, 1916 - June 10, 2007 |
Charlene Fulbright Gunter passed away on June 10, 2007. She lived her life with pride and dignity and her greatest source of joy was her family. They were first in her life. Charlene loved country music, designer clothes, and her birth state of Oklahoma. She was an inspiration to all she knew as she inspired by example. Charlene was blessed with a natural wit and her belief in the good endeared her to many. She taught us all about integrity, dignity and strength of character. She was committed to her faith and lived it. Charlene was a loyal and true friend and the greatest mother in the world.
Charlene was born in Hanson, Oklahoma to Beulah and Idus Fulbright on July 5, 1916. She was married to Jack P. Gunter in 1935 until his death in 1968. She became social director of the Majestic Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1969 and held that position for 16 years. She moved from Hot Springs to Sallisaw, Oklahoma to care for her mother in 1985 and remained there until 2004. She moved to Dallas, Texas at that time to be closer to her children.
Charlene is survived by her three children, Dr. Jack P. Gunter and wife Deborah, Jerry E. Gunter and wife Christine, Vicki Woodson and husband Jim one sister: Betty Parsons and her husband Gerard She had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mildred Reavis, and her brother Carl Fulbright.
