Helen Marie (Wofford) George, 87, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 in Roland, Oklahoma. She was born March 8, 1929 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of Ira Eugene Wofford and Allie Beatrice (Carr) Wofford. She was married to Charles Edward George on June 10, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. George was a retired cook for Roland Public Schools, a homemaker, and a Baptist.

2 sons and 1 daughter in law: Eddie and Judy George of Liberty, OK

7 grandchildren: Jennifer Geels, Jessica Strayer, Eric George, Dr. Kim Brunk, Sarah Fouts, Allison Armer, and Madison Fouts
6 great grandchildren: Tyler Geels, Julie Geels, Addilee Armer, Trey Brunk, Lincoln Strayer and London Strayer
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Mike George; her parents, Ira and Allie "Beat" Wofford; 2 sisters, Dorothy Wood and Sue Gardener; and 2 brothers, Charles and Joe Wofford
Funeral service is Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11 am at Living Water Fellowship in Roland, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Muldrow.
Viewing will be Tuesday 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow. The family will greet from 6 - 8 pm.
