Sam Ed Bush Sr. was born August 12, 1926 in Marble City, Oklahoma. The son of Mr. Sam Bush and Mrs. Susie Fields Bush. He married Mrs. Bernice Choate Bush on July 19, 1946 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He retired from Education after serving 20+ years of service. He was a member of the Marble City Holiness Church and he taught Sunday School for 15+ years. He served the Cherokee Nation on the Cherokee Nation Housing Council, Inter Tribal Council, and for the OIO, Oklahoma Indian Opportunity. His lifelong achivement was that he was able to dedicate himself to serving and helping others throughout his life. Sam Ed Bush passed this life on January 4, 2007 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 80 years, 4 months and 23 days.
Survivors are: Wife: Bernice of the home; 1 Daughter: Myra and Husband Gilbert Robertson of Marble City, Ok.; 2 Sons: Eric Bush and wife Linda of Memphis, TN., and Sam Ed Bush Jr. and Wife Linda of Marble City, Ok.; 2 Grandsons that he raised as his own: Brent Smith and wife Melode of Sallisaw, Ok., Kirk Norrid and wife RaLena of Stilwell, Ok.; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Edna Bigfeather of Marble City, Ok.;
