Billy Ed Brooks, 81, of Roland, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was born July 6, 1934 in Long, Oklahoma the son of William Riley "Bill" and Lucille (Parris) Brooks. He married Vida Naomi Merrill on March 26, 1955 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He had a Bachelors degree, was a member of Roland Church of Christ and was in the grocery business. Mr. Brooks was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Bruton Lodge in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

4 grandchildren: Charlene, Billy Jack, Riley and Sheala Brooks
3 great grandchildren: Tyler Jeremiah, Zoie Brooks, and Penelope Bramlett
numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister: Virginia Lewis
Funeral service is Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11 am Roland Church of Christ with Bros. Phil Smith and Gerald Cowan officiating. Burial will be at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Muldrow.
Viewing will be Saturday 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday 2 - 8 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow.
The family will greet friends Sunday from 4 - 6 pm at the church.
