Ruby Bennington was born August 31, 1929 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Watie Lee Scott and Sylvia Catherine (Shiew) Scott. She was married to Alvin G. "A.L." Bennington on March 4, 1948 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1996. Mrs. Bennington passed this life on March 22, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma at the age of 87.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
2 daughters: Linda Rutherford and husband, Eddie of Sallisaw, OK
and Donna Brown and husband, Ron of Sallisaw, OK
6 grandchildren: Harlen Johnson, Jr., Terri Stockman, John Paul Girdner, Marsha Scott, Michele Graham and Angela Shores
20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild
1 sister: Shirley Renfro of Muldrow, OK
1 brother: Bobby Scott of Ft. Smith, AR
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Bennington; her parents, Watie and Sylvia Scott; 1 grandson, Brad Johnson; 3 sisters, Virginia Prawyer, Sue Lane and Kay Knight; and 3 brothers, Billy, Eugene, and Clyde Scott
Graveside service is Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 1 pm at Brent Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing is Sunday from 2 - 8 pm and Monday from 10 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
