Shirley Bennett was born July 2, 1951 in Ft. Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob Nester and Ada Lee (Long) Nester. She married William Clayton Bennett, II on January 7, 1970 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2004 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bennett passed this life on April 2, 2010 in Arkoma, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 58 years and 9 months.
