Mary Etta Skinner Barnes was born July 11, 1918 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The daughter of John Skinner and Esther Emily Griffin Skinner. She married Edd Barnes on September 30, 1935 in Eufala, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1973 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mary passed this life on March 19, 2007 in Gore, Oklahoma after having attained the age of
88 years, 8 months and 8 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
1 daughter and son-in-law: Inez and Jerry Howard of Broken Arrow, Ok.;
4 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws: Johnny and Linda Barnes of Wilburton, Ok.,
George Barnes of Tulsa, Ok., Eddie and Connie Barnes of Inola, Ok., and
Glen Barnes of Gore, Ok.;
18 grandchildren;
30 great grandchildren;
and 3 great great grandchildren;
1 brother: Tom Skinner of Independence, Mo.;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends;
She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Edd Barnes;
1 daughter: Imogene Barnes, Parents: John and Esther Skinner,
3 sisters: Evelyn Fox, Opal Roberts, and Vivian Heaton;
