Boyd Ray Bailey, born August 8, 1940 passed from this life on May 21, 2016 at Saint Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born in Ashdown, Arkansas, being the son of John Ray and Willie Mae Bailey. He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Harvey of McCloud, Oklahoma; his nieces, Mary Francis Capps and Janice Dee Melancon; nephew, Joseph B. Harvey and their children and grandchildren. Boyd Ray will surely be missed by his own children, Stacey, Damon, Craig, Michael and Kay.
Having a love of travel on the open road and driving his "tractor trailer" all over North America, Boyd Ray's truck driving career spanned most of his life.
Boyd had a happy soul and a beaming smile and was glad to have company always making his friends and family feel welcome upon entering his home. He enjoyed life and fought wholeheartedly a two year long battle with cancer which finally, ultimately took him.
Boyd Ray Bailey, say not in grief "he is no more," but say "be thankful that he was." Rest in peace Boyd.
