Ruby Louise Armstrong, 78, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born March 13, 1939 in Gans, Oklahoma the daughter of Bryan and Martha (Fout) Tinney. She was baptized and saved at Missionary Baptist Church in Roland, Oklahoma and attended Gans Bible Church. She participated in the Foster Granny program at the grade school. She worked in housekeeping at Sequoyah Memorial Hospital and loved to garden and grow flowers.
Survivors are:
2 sons: Clifford Armstrong of Gans, OK and Dean Armstrong and Carrie of Gans, OK
2 sisters: Hazel Adams and Donald of Keller, TX and Lorene Downing
4 grandchildren: Sierra Lovell of Booneville, AR, Brandon Armstrong and Tara of Gans, OK,
Emily McCoy and Aaron of Pocola, OK and Jacob Armstrong of Gans, OK
6 great grandchildren: Garrison, Alex, Sadie, Coty, Waylon, Harper
many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. "Junior" Armstrong; 1 son, Doug Armstrong;
her parents, Bryan and Martha (Fout) Tinney; and 1 brother, Doil Dean "Nubbin" Fout
Funeral service is Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11 am at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will be at Gans Cemetery in Gans, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Friday from 11 am - 8 pm at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
The family will greet from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral.
